Chesterfield County

Located just South of Richmond is Chesterfield County. Bordered by the James River to the north, and the Appomattox River to the south, Chesterfield includes a number of communities, and has grown tremendously in the last few decades, becoming home to over 340,000 people today.

A few of the favorite spots in Chesterfield are the Metro Richmond Zoo, home to over 2000 animals, and the only zoo you’ll find until you get to Washington, DC. Chesterfield is also home to some fabulous parks- including Pocahontas Park, a 7950 acre state park in the southern part of the county that boasts pools, live music events, miles of hiking trails, picnic areas, and more, just to name a couple.

With well regarded schools, and rapid development over the last twenty years or so, Chesterfield is a sought after place for many folks looking for newer homes, a little more land, and loads of community amenities. With easy access to I 288, and I76, you can enjoy a true suburban lifestyle, and still be within 20 minutes or so from Downtown or West Creek.
