I was born and raised in Chesterfield County, and after a few years of moving up and down the East coast, I returned to RVA, living in the city, and finally landing in Henrico County, where I’ve been for many years now.

    A Bit About My Background

Cindy Bennett – Associate Broker, ABR, GRI, GREEN

I’ve been selling real estate full time since 2003. Before that, I trained as a goldsmith/ jeweler, graduated from VCU with degrees in English and Economics, owned a restaurant/ catering company, and an eco friendly retail business, to name a few. I’ve been, as they say, a butcher, a baker, and a candlestick maker. (Not really, but pretty darn close!)

Why do I share all of this? Well, because while nothing ever grabbed me the way real estate has, I learned so many skills in those adventures that help me help you. Not to mention the fact that I am one of the best jugglers I know. Ok, not literally, but I can multitask and wear many “hats” like a champ! Trust me, that is a must have quality in a Realtor®!) From analysis and negotiating to marketing, technology, and creative, out of the box thinking, I’ve got you covered.

What I Do for Fun in RVA

In my “spare time” I love indoor cycling, hot yoga, live music (I’m crazy for all sorts of music, from bluegrass and country to rap and everything in between), spending time with my son (in college now- go App State!), trying new restaurants and things to do in the Richmond area, and cooking.

I’d love to meet you, and learn how I can help you to reach your real estate goals. Let’s talk!

    An Agent You Can Trust

I am also a Google Screened Real Estate Agent, which means I’ve passed all their screening and background checks, so you can feel confident on your home buying or selling journey.  Watch the video below to hear what my clients are saying about working with me, or check out my reviews.

    Testimonials

Cindy did a great job helping me find the best house in my price range. She understood my non-negotiables and ensured I got the best deal as possible. I highly recommend her!

Cindy was incredible from the very beginning of our home buying process. I literally had a page of questions for her and she answered them all. My wife and I could not have been happier with the process and house Cindy helped us find. She is extremely knowledgeable about real estate in general as well as local market trends and pointers. Cindy was VERY reliable, responsive, and willing to go above and beyond on several occasions during the process. We highly recommend Cindy and definitely found our Realtor® for life.

Cindy has an excellent knowledge of the Richmond market and has fantastic negotiation skills. She is extremely patient and flexible in working with her clients. I would highly recommend working with her as a Realtor® and would definitely work with her again.

As always, Cindy was great to work with throughout the entire process of selling our house and buying another house. We have worked with her as our agent several times over the years, and she is always extremely professional, knowledgeable and hands-on. Cindy was highly responsive and worked very hard to ensure that everything went smoothly on both our sale and our purchase. She provided great advice and always had our best interest at heart. We highly recommend Cindy!

Cindy is a wonderful Realtor®. I was a single mom, purchasing my first home, and she walked me through every step of the process. She helped me get pre-approval, financing, and held my hand through a very long, closing process (due to gov’t changes). Throughout the whole experience, she provided incredible insight and professionalism. I got a great deal on my home and gained a friend in return. I’d absolutely recommend Cindy!

I 1000% recommended Cindy to be your representation if you are in the market to buy or sell a home. Cindy made herself very available to us when we were selling our home, answering questions, explaining the steps in the process, and guiding us on where our money would be best spent for the maximum return at sale. If you are looking for the best agent to be in your corner for your real estate needs, Cindy is the one.

We only had a few weekends in Richmond to find a home, and Cindy was very accommodating. She was patient and we felt unhurried when we were with her. Found a great home in a great neighborhood and still love it!

    Bridgit K.

Cindy is great! She knows what need to be done and doesn’t mess around. She helped me sell my mother’s house in record time. The inside was dated, and she helped me identify what needed updating prior to putting it on the market. She had names on the ready for good, reliable help to do the job. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her and would call on her again in a heartbeat!

Cindy Bennett was the perfect choice! Moving an elderly parent is concerning on so many levels, and Cindy took the stress out of the house selling experience for everyone involved. I chose her for her professionalism, but was even more impressed with how she truly considered my mother’s concerns about the process; and with her genuine, down-to-earth demeanor, explained in real terms the expectations of the market, the individual buyer and how the process would play out. Cindy never failed to disappoint at every step, and the house was sold in less than a week! I highly recommend Cindy Bennett for your Real Estate Broker needs.

Cindy was fantastic! She helped me every step of the way with the process of buying my new home and then with selling my prior home. She didn’t hesitate to answer any of my questions. I know who I’ll call if I decide to buy or sell again.

Instagram post Big congratulations to our buyer client who had a whirlwind few days of looking around RVA. We found the ideal place, beat out another offer, and we were under contract officially before she even got home. I love it when a plan comes together! Instagram post Wow. What a day at The Valentine! I was so excited when I got the call that I was off the waitlist for the I Know Richmond course! Six Sundays that delve into all of the layered history of Richmond started today at The Valentine. The remaining five will be different walking or group tours around the city and I cannot wait. We definitely have a complicated history here in the Richmond area, but I cannot imagine living or loving anywhere else like I do here, and it is truly remarkable to see how much we’ve changed over the years. (Yes, I am one of those people who has clients in the car and tells them how, “When I was a kid this used to be a field/mall/factory…” just know that for every time I say it, I have bitten my tongue five times.) We got to tour through not only the museum itself, but also through Wickham House, and Edward Valentine’s studio, which has been totally reimagined from what it once was, in a really powerful way. The class may only run a couple times a year, but the valentine is always there. So if you haven’t been, or just haven’t been in the last few years, you need to go. Admission is $12, Thursdays are free, and they always have something going on. That is both fun and educational. Go! Instagram post ‘Tis the season to start wandering around, looking at patios, dreaming of a garden, and maybe thinking about finding a new place to plant those roots. It is competitive, but there is also more inventory, so if you are thinking of buying, don’t wait until it’s not just fool’s spring to get started. Having your game plan and knowing what to expect can be a huge leg up when you go to write an offer on the place you just fell in love with. And that plan makes it much more likely that you will actually get the house instead of someone else. Have you got questions? I’ve got answers. Let’s talk! Instagram post Did you know that even if you’ve owned a home in the past, you could probably qualify for “first time buyer” programs like FHA loans? You basically just cannot have owned or had an ownership stake in a primary residence for the past three years. While these programs are not a great fit for everyone, they are the only fit for some people and a terrific fit for many. So if you’re thinking about buying a home and you’re sort of on the edge of where you think you might be able to swing it, make sure you are giving all your information and asking questions of your lender. Because they will be the ultimate guide in this process and they can tell you if you do in fact qualify, even if you’re not a total home buying ingenue. if you are curious, whether you can do it, give me a call or send me a message. I can put you in touch with a fantastic lender who is going to be able to answer all those questions you might have and get you moving in the right direction!
